Winds gusted to well over 60MPH. Local newspaper came and took photos. Maybe we'll make the front page next Wednesday? Our local paper only has enough news to publish once a week.

Man that bites!!! It does bring to mind the Kathy Bates line ..... Face it, I'm older and have more insurance. Hope all will be well soon!

In my best Hollywood caveat voice, nobody was injured in the making of those pictures. After that, nothing else matters. It is only a matter of money and that is why we carry insurance. They were full of water last night when it happened and the sound of the wind picking them up and slamming them back on the roof was scary.

The pictures don't show the tile damage very well but there are quite a few of the clay tiles ripped off the roof. It was like we were hit by a small tornado.

Use stronger bolts.:chinese:

Its too hot there now to need a heater so you got that goin' for you.

Was this from the storm that was shown with the huge dust cloud advancing on PHX? That looked impressive. If that dust cloud hit you you might be shovelling mud out of the pool.

Liddown, count me in, just start a fund at the bank so it is deductible.:Angel_anim:

I just want you guys to know that it is the thought that counts. I got a surprise email from Phillip that was a $10 PayPal. Please be aware thet there is no need to send money. It really is the thought that counts. That's what I meant when I said in the earlier post that you guys are great. Just offering was enough.

You guys are the greatest.

I sent the HOA a note telling them I was going to install a 100 foot tower with generator and harness the wind power that is ALWAYS here but they denied it. :( Arizona has a law that stops HOAs from interferring with solar power but nothing for wind power. :(

What about massive rods, pulling down some lightning to power up your next power-adder, the flux capacitor?? :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

Well, we made the front page of our local newspaper. Small town. It only comes out on Wednesdays. :) Note how serious it is about 1.4" of rain. The guys in Dallas get that in 1 minute.

Didn't that article mention something about the homeowner being "that Coolidge resident frequently seen driving small 2-seater convertibles that sound like jet engines at insane speeds, simultaneously heel-and-toeing, operating a laptop and fiddling with what appear to be credit cards attached to the vehical with wires . . . ."

Glad I missed that storm when I was there... Although, it probably cooled it off a bit.

These are the little headaches that life throws at you when you least expect it. Glad that was all that was damaged.

I completed my trip without incidence, although I witnessed two bizzare accidents in Colorado. Home safe and sound.
