Intake Manifold Gasket

I was just alerted that the instructions do not tell you to un-install or re-install the Intake Manifold gasket. I know of one kit now that does not have the gasket installed. Please note, the original IM gasket sould be used when installing the new intake manifold. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. It was one of those "I assumed" that has apparently bit me. I will correct the instructions for future installs but, if you have not installed that gasket, you might wish to do so. The IM gasket is necessary for a proper seal. Again, my apologies.

I haven't used the gasket. No issues yet. Does this mean I have a choice using the ultra black if I wanted to put the gasket in?

You should use the original gasket between the manifold and head. Not ultra black.
