Just when I am getting everything daled in I pull a stupid move, No A REAL STUPID MOVE... So after all of this talk of high octane being a good thing, I stop and grab some 100 Octane from a local station, yes the nozzle was a tight fit,,,,,,,,, Yup you guessed it I put four gallons of leaded 100 octane in my 01, don't get smart ideas when your tired .....

Ok I have an FM midpipe, that I was just getting ready to put the wideband in, but now I am faced with a CEL for the CAT. I know that lead can cook a CAT and can also plug up O2 sensors...

So advise time. Replace the CAT and the O2's, or what is the best next step.... Yes I have diluted the fuel as much as I can, but the damage has been done, whatever it is ;-)

More taxes to be paid.....

Thanks, and yes I feel bad enough so no your a dummy messages please, my head is so sore from banging it against the wall.

That shouldnt be sufficient to damage the cat. Ive heard that repeated use of leaded fuel will kill the cat but not a one time deal, in fact when I raced with Tom at Arroyo Seco, I put in leaded several gallons of 104+ in my car and all was well. Reset the ECU and check again, it could be a CEL for the gas on the sensor.

I agree, run a couple of tankfulls through the car before you change anything. Since you don't want to put the wideband in until this is resolved, it would still be a good idea to bring it to the dyno to ensure you have proper fueling.

Anytime next week works for me
