Funny story...

We had an event / test and tune yesterday for those that are headed to Topeka for next week's Solo Nationals... (Chris Swearingen and I will be there representing you, Tom!)

So it's a pretty casual day, and I am playing with my coil-overs for different ride-height F/R biases... As I tweak, the hood is popped to let things cool off. Plus, I get a LOT of folks that walk up regularly to check it out because they HEAR the car on-course and just HAVE to see what makes that sound! :devil2:

At any rate, some casual observer walks up while I have my head buried in my front wheel-well, and says, 'Boy, that AC must blow REAL cold!' I poke my head out to see if he's even talking to me.

Before I can open my mouth he says, 'I've never SEEN an air conditioning compressor so big! You must really like it cold!'

I smile, nod, say ' I sure do!' and go back to my springs. :seeya:

What I get the most is "Is that factory?".

I'd like to think he was joking, but you never know!

I can see the 'factory' issue. Especially if you're carrying the OE strut tower brace. They're almost the same black, gloss-wise.

I was following one of my sons the other night on the tollway and he had a bunch of friends in his car riding with the windows down. I had got a little behind in traffic and when I had a chance to catch up, I hit the throttle. One of his buddies thought they had a police car screaming up behind them from the way SC came to life!
