Is this feature not working? Or is it just me?

This is where you get an e-mail whenever there is a new post to a thread you are "subscribing" or participating in.

For instance, I didn't get an email about either of your replies in this thread. I did make sure the proper thread subscription option was chosen.
Anyone else or is this a problem on my end? I've also checked my spam blocker and not seen what look to be email addresses from this domain. What is the address from which subscription notices are sent?

There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

All the best,
Fast Forward Superchargers ForumI used to get these, but not for a couple of weeks now.:frown:
Tom, could you manually send me an email from the address that sends the notifications, or in some way generate such an email to me? I just don't get why they've stopped arriving.

See if it doesn't work now. I went through your profile and found the selection for "thread notification" was set to foo. I set it to "instant Email". That means that as soon as I post this, the forum should send you a notification. Let me know.

You have to make a post to activate it. Maybe ths post will do it. Perhaps it will have to be future threads. I just went into your profile again and it is correctly set now. It wasn't before?
I started a new thread here http://www.fastforwardsuperchargers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=948 for you to test a post in that would be new. Try it.

I thought that when you psosted "I'm happy to report that I for one, am not suffering from E.D. (email dysfunction) :)" that all was well. You will only get email notifications from future threads that you respond to as the current threads already noted that you didn't have it selected.
However, if you reply to this thread again, for example, before you hit "submit reply" scroll down a couple inches and you should see "Notification type". If it doesn't already say "instant email notification", select that before submitting the reply. See if that doesn't work for threads you already responded to. Future threads should work.
If that doesn't work, check the email address you have in your USER CP. Might be some minor error.

I went into "edit" on your previous post and took a look and "instant email notification" was turned on. I thought it should have worked. Otherwise, I think it has to do with the state of that selection in your USER CP at the time you make the first post in a thread? You can change it at any time buy modifying the selection in any post to any thread. That gives you the chance to opt out of notifications on a thread you no longer want to watch.

I'm really not sure why it wasn't working for a while, but no need to ponder it any longer. Thanks!
