This is for a BRP/FFS Coldside complete kit w/MP62 blower, 5th injector, JR PowerCard and Split Second Additional Injector Controller. I also have the BRP PnP box for the JRPC so you don't have to hack the wiring harness.
This is one of the original BRP kits that I updated to FFS with the upgraded layout (mostly vacuum lines, distribution block, and IAC location & bracket) and upgraded with eCool. Tom at FFS fully supports the BRP-sold Coldside kits. Also, it's now got a 110mm pulley.
This kit is for the 99-00 cars but will may work on earlier 1.8 cars (I would ask Tom at FFS to check). Kit will make around 190rwhp - I'm probably closer to a little over 200 as I have a built engine, header, and exhaust.
The supercharger is on the car now and working great. I'm pulling it off this weekend. It's got a little over 5,000 miles on the supercharger. The car was down for nearly a year. So, it's fairly low miles.
$2700 shipped.

did you get this pulled off the car yet? can you get detailed pictures of the kit off the car? is there any difference between the intake manifolds on the old BRP kit and the FFS kit? Does the Autotensioner have the old BRP logo on it?

I haven't pulled it off the car yet. I suppose detailed pics will provide some comfort, but won't help you much re: differences btw current and what's on my system as they differences are that subtle.
But, here's my understanding of the major differences:
- eCool - Original BRP did not have eCool. I upgraded when Tom added it. The retrofit, however, is added through the Supercharger adapter plate. The current manifold has eCool threaded directly into manifold.
- Vacuum line's - Tom upgraded the vacuum line layout twice (as I recall) once to include the distribution block and again re-routing the IAC and valve cover hoses. I upgraded both times and I'm using the current configuration.
- IAC location - IAC was originally mounted on the supercharger but the mount experienced numerous failures. Current location is on the firewall next to the distribution block. I upgraded to that location when Tom made the change.
- Fuel Management - The BRP Coldside came with the JR PowerCard originally. They switched to the ELF and I upgraded at that time (at considerable cost because that blew my f@#%ing engine). FFS stuck with the JRPC and added the Split Second Additional Injector Controller to control the eCool injector. I upgraded again during this time. Currently, however, two PCPro's are used to manage fueling and eCool.
- Throttle Cable Adapter - The original BRP adapter was reshaped from the original bracket. The current version, I believe uses a machined piece. My mechanic upgraded this when he put in my built engine (this one I'm less sure of because I didn't install. Could be my mechanic designed the replacement - but I believe he got from Tom).
- Automatic Belt Tensioner - Originally, the BRP Coldside had BRP etched into the Belt Tensioner. When FFS was launched, they switched to "FFS" etched into the Belt Tensioner. Later upon getting CARB Approved, they added the EO sticker verbiage and number to the Belt Tensioner. My belt tensioner still says "BRP"
I believe that about covers it. Tom, did I miss anything?
If a picture of all the parts on a sheet of cardboard is necessary for you to purchase, then I guess I'll have to pull the darn thing off the car. I'd just rather enjoy the ride until it's sold versus have a disassembled car and no recompense.

Carlb, Tom,
What would be needed to make this kit work on 2001?
Kempi? What are you doing researching a coldside?

Well, counting on You to help me with the install and tuning if I jump on that wagon.
Unless You plan on messing some hoses to avoid competition:devil2:

I guess he saw my Miata at the autocross a couple of weeks earlier :)
My car has a smaller blower though - M45 - it is lighter ;)
Kempi, F/I kit did you have so far?
