This story is not about Miadas but I have to tell the world!
I read and ad on ebay about a space saving supercharger with superior pressures and operation. The name of the company is Jet Technologies (junk) in Montebello California owned by a Adam Levestiik (creep) . I was installing it in an old but nice 76 Vega w a 383 motor. He said he would have to custom make a bracket for it. This alone should have tipped me off. After al, it was for the most popular motor in the world!@! After two months of listening to his bragging and boasting about the SUPERIOR parts he has. I allowed him to charge it to my charge card, and he then sent the head unit only. It looked strange, but he had excuses. Ten emails and two weeks later he sent me some USED pulleys to use and size up to the bracket he was making. He would switch stories as time went on. what a mistake!! To shorten the story, after the 4th month he called me and said the bracket was ready but..... I told him he better send me a picture beefier sending it to me. When I saw what he wanted to send me it turned me right off!! Two thin plates bolted together right up the middle, and the mounting hole was cut out with a band saw!! Right away I asked for my money back. He said no he would have to charge me for all his time. I went to my bank and applied for a charge back which was eventually given, and months later taken back from me and put into his account, even though I sent the head unit back to him and he rejected it, ( I did to, when it returned I trashed it ). Now I’m out $2375. and that creep has my money, and to show for it I have one USED crappy Ford pulley. It makes me ill. So dont ever buy anything from this company, and charge card companies should be ashamed they let creeps like this have merchant accounts
I have since bought a procharger sc-1 kit, had it in two weeks and the fit was perfect, a very nice kit.

Contact the credit card company and dispute the charge. All you have to do is give them the same information you put in your post. They will remove the charge from your credit card account and you will have to wait to see what happens when the seller finds out what has happened.

If you used a DEBIT CARD you are SCREWED This is like paying with cash. I have a VISA debit card and do not use it for any online purchases.

If you need more help, call your local gang and have them pay him a visit. Or you could show up with a tire iron. If I was out that amount of $, I would probably take something in addition to a tire iron.

Good luck.

Thanks for the warning about Adam.

Boy did you pick the wrong site - or right site as far as customer service.

Tom gives you the instruction manuals on line, a 3D cad picture of what he is selling that you can rotate, section, an play with to your hearts content.

His customer service is legendary (when he isn't helping people with other supercharger kits - well not too often).

He has driven to the customer to resolve problems - and I speak of this first hand, and my problem was plugged CAT's, nothing to do with the supercharger. Fortunately he suggested that before he left the house, I had the parts and was all but finished by the time he got here (6+ hours each way).

Have fun with your procharger (on a 383, in a Vega - can you say muscle car?) You will leave me in the straights, but a Miata in the corners....

Enjoy,
Steve

Thanks, Im having fun with the learning process. I have since hurt my motor by having a wire pull off my fuel pump controller and having my AFR so lean it and boost too high, so it burned the top of one of my pistons, but my block is the zz4-355, so its hard enough to stand up to the abuse, not much damage there. Got it back together now with an intercooler and am trying a modification to the procharger carb hat as to set straight on to the carb instead of at an angle. I did this because the the cylinders that were affected by the burn were at the rear of the angle of the hat, so Im trying to boost the cylinders more evenly.
Thanks for the posted support, but the "jet technologies" deal is done so all I can do is hope adam's micky-mouse ways will put him in the poor house quicky. I didnt mention that he also owns a founary there in CA and he pours his own cast, junk. I think he must own a junkyard too, to grab the free metals and used idler pulleys etc.. He can always sell the scrap aluminum!
