View Full Version : Where to buy gauges?

So... I just bought a coldside kit, and I'd like to have some gauges to assist with tuning. I know I could just take it to an experienced shop with a dyno to have it done, but I like to see what's going on all the time and see how tweaks/mods affect what's going on under the hood. (don't we all?) I'm thinking about starting with just the basics.... AFR, Boost, and EGT. Innovate seems to make a good AFR, and I'm liking Defi's link series for the other two. I'd like to buy these online, but most of the sites I've found selling these look like modified ebay stores pages. Does anyone have experience buying this stuff from a reputable source with good prices? I usually check the sponsors over at mnet first, but they were pretty lacking, especially on the Defi parts.
Thanks,
Geoff

I bought my gauges on ebay, but egauges.com is also a good source.

I got my boost and oil temp gauges from egauges.com. They had the best prices according to my search, and they were helpful when I had to get a defective one replaced.

Check out the gauge set-ups at Track Dog Racing. I have the Innovate wideband and G-2 A/F gauge which they said would match the Autometer Ultralite II gauges. They don't and now I'm thinking about starting over with the Westach gauges that TDR has (I like the dual oil/water temp). Westach has manufactured aircraft gauges for many years and their reliability should be pretty good. Downside...the boost/vacuum gauge has "turbo" on the dial. I'm still on the fence.

Thanks for the responses. I ended up going with Track Dog for the LC-1. I looked at egauges.com, and they had decent prices, but I have a friend who used turbogauges.com several times in the past, so I went with them for the other gauges.
